Dynamics of Sports Facilities
A grandstand of a stadium is usually induced to self-excited vibrations by the moving or jumping spectators. These vibrations exceed in many cases the sensing limit. Additional resonance effects can intensify them until the high level reached causes discomfort or even panic on a significant part of the crowd. Problems with existing grandstands have shown in the past that the separate consideration of the eigenfrequency of every step isn’t sufficient to evaluate the vibration vulnerability of the whole structure. A realistic comfort estimation as well as the proof of panic avoidance must be carried out. We conduct serviceability checks with vibrations induced by people and develop individual concepts to ensure that the users' security as well as the serviceability of the structure is given.

Our services are:
- Measurement of vibrations and eigenfrequencies
- Vibration prognosis
- Retrofitting concepts for existing structures with dynamic problems
- Conceptual dynamic design of new structures
